Our Story

Small Wonders started in October 2012 when 4 local mums, who have a heart for parents/carers and children in Wolverhampton, got together with a shared vision. Small Wonders is a Stay and Play Group where we have created a supportive community of parents and carers.

Our vision has come to life, and it is now run by a team of over 30 dedicated volunteers who help make cakes, welcome parents/carers, serve drinks, help with messy play activities and chat to everyone who comes along.  It is such a wonderful calm and friendly environment.  We cater for 180 children aged 0–4 years.  All our places are currently full and we operate a waiting list.

Small Wonders is based at LifeSpring Centre in Chapel Ash, Wolverhampton. Small Wonders Stay and Play is an activity of LifeSpring Ministries, however it operates for the benefit of the whole community regardless of faith.

We Want To…

“… provide the families in Wolverhampton with excellent facilities, excellent toys, fun experiences and the opportunity to learn new skills, all with a warm and friendly service.”

“… support the families giving children a positive start in life and provide parents/carers with the support and encouragement they need.”

I love small wonders . Best play group ever. Everyone is so friendly and I’ve made new friends too.

What can’t I say about this group, myself & Millie love it, so much to do for our little ones, art & crafts to take home each week, dressing up area, huge play area, bouncy castle, singing fun with the parachute. Refreshments for us adults & our littles ones. Very friendly volunteers always there to help. Great community spirit you won’t be disappointed xx

Me and my son absolutely love it here. The toys and activities are fantastic and the staff are not only amazing with the children but also kind and supportive to parents as well. I was unwell there one day and not only did I get a lift home because I was too unwell to travel I was also given flowers and was overwhelmed by the kindness I received. The homemade cakes are great and every area is always spotlessly clean. Absolutely faultless.
